The cost of counselling sessions varies depending on the type of service you need. For an individual session, it is R500 (50 minutes). For a group session, it is R250 (1 hour 30 minutes). For a couples or relationship session, it is R750 (1 hour 30 minutes for the first session, 50 minutes thereafter). For Neurodivergent Life Coaching, it is R750 (1 hour and 30 minutes).
It is important to note that these rates are for South African citizens and they are already reduced. For internationals, rates begin at $50. Please use the contact form or whatsapp to request further details.
Integrative counselling can address any life issue that you are navigating. You could come for help in managing stress, addressing anxiety, for identity exploration, to learn more psychological tools, to build on your personal strengths and skills, to ease the burden of a big life transition or to process a loss. The sessions are yours to decide what you want to work on.
Neurodivergent life coaching takes on a more structured and direct approach from me, but you will still be in charge of your goals and desired outcomes. They can be whatever you want to work on, whether learning how to study, or figuring out your sensory profile or how to run a business (we will figure these out together!).
The only limit is that you will not be clinically diagnosed or treated with specific therapies for clinical disorders. This does not mean you cannot come for counselling if you have a disorder(s). Integrative counselling can still help you process your feelings and fears or build coping skills around the challenges you have, but this will be adjunctive to clinical treatment from a psychologist and/or psychiatrist.
The frequency of counselling sessions will depend on your individual needs and goals. Some clients may benefit from weekly sessions, while others may attend bi-weekly or monthly. It is usually helpful to start with weekly sessions to build momentum in the process, but the frequency of sessions is as much personalized as the counselling techniques you will require.
You cannot claim back for my counselling sessions from medical aid as this is not a medical practice. My specialisation falls in the health and wellness sector where I am registered with the Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners (ASCHP) as a Specialist Wellness Counsellor - SWC24/8072.
